Matilda

When I said that we were trying to be cultured, I really was not kidding. We were out to prove the disbelieving wrong. After watching THE BOOK OF MORMON (it deserves capital letters because it really is that awesome), ZY and I made a quick pit stop at Harrods and went to watch Matilda. The set was alot more impressive than THE BOOK OF MORMON, however, the songs fell short for me. I am not sure if I was expecting too much, but the tale of a little girl who plays pranks on her evil headmistress and parents just wasn't doing it for me. The songs were also a bit tedious, with one going, my mummy says I am a miracle, my daddy says I am his special little guy, just smacked of self entitlement to me. It was still entertaining nonetheless. I am sure that I would have loved it if I hadn't watched THE BOOK OF MORMON. When ZY tried to get tickets to watch the 2 musicals the day before, the ticket lady scoffed and went it would be AH-MAZING if you could get tickets to the two most popular musicals. Well, we did and it was AH-MAZING.
