VEG OUT

Prior to leaving, I met up with my 2 best friends and had very nice meal at a veggie restaurant called Whole Earth at Tanjong Pagar.

The starter was bloody addictive. They had this pickled cabbage, but best of all, fried seaweed with tofu skin! How could you resist? As usual, I had finished nibbling on all the starters before the 2 of them arrived.

Tom yam soup was next. This was really peppery rather than having the kick from the chilli. I still prefer the typical thai style ones which really clear your nose.

Rach had already perused the menu online while rushing down in a cab and ordered the fried vegetables with Sambal. Fried tofu with cereal was awesome. I think that they added milk powder to it to give it the same kick that you get when you eat fried cereal prawns.

Last but not least, we had fried brown rice with olives. This was probably the tastiest dish. This is a really nice place to check out if you have vegetarian friends and don't want to eat those weird pseudo mock meat stuff that they usually have. I really don't understand that concept of mock meat. If you claim to love animals, why would you want to eat something that was made to taste like it? I know there is a flaw in my argument, but it just really irks me to see fake hamburgers that really taste like beef. Just eat beef if you really want it that much. Rant over.

Drinks as usual rounded up our evening. This is Fen looking really happy once her drink had arrived! We went to a new place called Fordham and Graham along Craig Road. You really need to know where it is because there isn't any sign to tell you have reached it. In the spirit of all these underground bars, there is only a black door with a number on it. As I don't really do good reviews of food, bars, actually anything, head on over to this review.

As usual, I still look constipated.

Poor Kim was my model for that night and they both quickly got tired of my new obsession of taking random pictures.

This is Fen doing her best to ignore me.

They had really cute coasters. Each one of us had a different one and these pictures were hung all throughout the bar.

I am not sure why the bull was boxing, but it was cute.

I gave up taking pictures of inanimate objects and made Fen pose again. As you can tell, I will not be ignored.

And then I made her boss who was there pose for me as well. As you can tell, I am a terror with the camera.
